Castlevania Season Two Release Date Announced

At Anime Expo in LA during the Netflix panel, it was revealed that
Castlevania will be back for its second season on October 26.

Acclaimed comic-book writer Warren Ellis returns to write the series, based on Konami’s hit video game franchise,
starring Richard Armitage as Trevor Belmont, James Callis as Alucard, and Alejandra Reynoso as Sypha Belnades.

The first season was well received and currently sits at a Metascore of 71, with the most prominent complaint being its short episode run
and never truly kicking off its potential. Season two will feature eight episodes—double the first season’s four. If that doesn’t seem like
enough, Richard Armitage recently told Digital Spy
that he was going in to record the third season soon, although Netflix hasn’t confirmed a third season yet.

A short teaser for the second season was shown at the panel, but Netflix has yet to release it online.
