Shinies Officially Shown in ‘Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu!’ and ‘Let’s Go, Eevee!’

If you like collecting shiny things in real life—but more importantly in Pokémon games—good news: we now know how shinies will work in the Pokémon: Let’s Go games.
At a press event in the UK this past week, Dot Esports reported they not only saw but also caught a shiny in the wild while playing a demo of Pokémon: Let’s Go. Although it could change before the final release, it’s unlikely.
The Pokémon in the wild will have a small but visible sign to let you know they are shiny in the form of three tiny glimmers above their heads. It’s better than how previous games—including Pokémon GO—handle shinies where you won’t know it’s a shiny until you enter battle against the Pokémon in the wild. Once in battle, you will see the physical change in appearance shiny Pokémon are known to display.
It’s only a small glimmer in the wild, but entering a new area and spotting that glimmer in the corner of your eye and rushing to the Pokémon before it disappears is sure to be a rush for Pokémon players this November when Pokémon: Let’s Go releases on the Nintendo Switch.
