8BitDo has launched the FlipPad, a new compact USB-C mobile controller designed for iPhone and Android devices.
Unlike the common controllers that wrap around a smartphone, the FlipPad attaches to the bottom of a phone and features a hinged design that places its controls beneath the screen for portrait gaming.
The controller features a D-pad and ABXY buttons, making it particularly suited to retro, arcade and other controller-supported mobile games. Its wired USB-C connection also means there’s no Bluetooth pairing or separate power supply required.
Compatibility includes iPhones running iOS 26.2 or later and Android devices running Android 13.0 or later.
The 8BitDo FlipPad is available now across Europe for €29.99 / £24.99. Australian pricing and availability haven’t been announced.
