Alan Wake 2 is receiving a free ‘Anniversary Update’ to celebrate one year since its release. The update adds a bunch of quality-of-life features and features that players have been asking for since launch.
For PlayStation 5 players, the game will now take advantage of the DualSense controller and use gyro aiming if you’d like to use it. Haptics will also now work on healing items and throwables; previously, they had only worked on the guns in the game.
With the Anniversary Update, Alan Wake 2 is also getting a ‘Gameplay Assist’ menu that’s adding the following toggles:
- Quick turn
- Auto complete QTE
- Button tapping to single tap
- Weapon charging with taps
- Healing items with taps
- Lightshifter with taps
- Player invulnerability
- Player immortality
- One shot kill
- Infinite ammo
- Infinite flashlight batteries
The most important update for many players might be the ability to invert the X-axis on the mouse and controller, not just the Y-axis.
Are any of the QOL updates something you’ll be taking advantage of when you play Alan Wake 2? Let me know in the comment section below.
