Our first look at Andor has been revealed at Star Wars Celebration overnight, alongside a poster and release date for the series. We now know Andor will begin streaming on Disney+ on August 31st.
The series stars Diego Luna as the titular character, Cassian Andor, in a prequel series to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which in itself was a prequel to A New Hope.

Andor promises a thrilling look at the Rebellion and some more of the same gritty vibes that Rogue One delivered to audiences. Alongside Cassian, in the teaser, we look at Genevieve O’Reilly returning as Rebellion leader, Mon Mothma, and a new Rebel leader played by Stellan Skarsgard.
The show creator Tony Gilroy also announced during Star Wars Celebration that the second season of Andor is coming with another twelve episodes. He said he considered them two halves of a book and that the first series is about Cassian Andor becoming a revolutionary, and the second season will take him up to the events of Rogue One.
Let me know if you’re excited about Andor coming to Disney+ on August 31st.
