Synopsis:
Put simply, DEEEER Simulator is a “Slow-Life Town Destruction Game”. You can spend your days enjoying a nice, relaxed frolic here and there together with the other animals around town, or you can choose to relieve some stress and absolutely destroy the town and everything in it.

I’m reviewing this game because I watched a trailer and thought playing as a deer with a pistol strapped to its head would be fun. And hey, guess what? Shooting people as a Deer with more than one gun strapped to its head is even more fun.

DEEEER Simulator: Your Average Everyday Deer Game is a video game in which you control a deer and wreak havoc across two maps, gain a GTA-inspired wanted level and take on a handful of boss fights. There’s a couple of mini-games and secrets to be found, but for the most part, your enjoyment of the game will rely on if you think the premise of the game is fun or not.

Look at this photograph.

Did you laugh?

As the deer, you can attack things with your hoofs or pick up weapons. These are things like pistols, machine guns and even laser pistols. There’s also the option of picking up katana’s and slicing away at random pedestrians and buildings to trigger an attack from the police. These aren’t the typical kind of police you may be thinking about; instead, they’re animals like sheep or a giant corgi dog which is the first maps big bad boss.

You can trigger random boss fights in either of the two maps, including a koala bear hanging off the side of a building like King Kong, who will attack you with laser beam eyes. There’s also a monkey that attacks you with symbols, causing fire attacks.

I don’t know why anything in DEEEER Simulator works the way it does. I have no idea how the developers dreamed up this game, but I played through the game in one sitting in around ninety minutes, including some messing around, and I have no regrets.
