‘Déraciné’ FromSoftware PSVR Game Releasing November 6th

Déraciné was announced during Sony’s unusual E3 2018 showcase and has had heads scratching since.

From FromSoftware—best known for the Souls and Armored Core series—Déraciné is the studio’s first VR title: a smaller-scale adventure where you play as a faerie.

As described on the PlayStation Blog by Masaaki Yamagiwa, Producer at Japan Studio:

“Déraciné is a classic adventure game brought to life by VR technology. It is a virtual adventure that allows you to explore a quiet world brimming with mysteries, and recall the joy of discovery.”

Exploring a boarding school as a faerie, you’ll uncover a mystery while learning more about the headmaster and six students who live there.

The game requires two PS Move controllers, hinting at puzzle interactions beyond what a DualShock can provide—like inserting a coin into a box, as shown in promo images.

With FromSoftware and director Hidetaka Miyazaki attached, this intriguing premise is sure to draw attention.
