Get ready to redon your armour, sharpen your blades and practice your flute playing because Ghost of Tsushima is getting a major update which includes the new Legends multiplayer mode.
Over on the Playstation Blog, Senior Game Designer at Sucker Punch Productions Darren Bridges announced that version 1.1 of the game will go live on 16th of October. The new legends mode will see players able to participate two-player story missions and four-player survival missions, with a raid set to be released in the weeks to follow.

The new mode will centre around the stories of a new character whom players can find in the game: Gyozen the Storyteller. According to Bridges, Goyzen has “heard the rumours about the Ghost of Tsushima, but he has a different perspective about what’s actually happening in his homeland. Gyozen is the author and gatekeeper of the stories you’ll find in Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, and when you talk to him, he’ll be happy to share one of his transportative stories about the “Ghosts.””
Players will have a choice of 4 different classes to choose from, with the ability to unlock the other 3 classes down the line. You’ll also be able to customize how your legend plays by earning charms and different ranged weapons as well as new masks, armour, and emotes which you can share in Photo Mode. There is also the promise of “Spirit Bears” and pettable “Spirit Dogs”.
Version 1.1 will also see the addition of a New Game+ to Ghost of Tsushima. Starting after Jin’s first encounter with Khan, you’ll be able to replay the game with all your unlocked abilities and equipment with the option of a new horse with a red mane, new more powerful charms to collect and Ghost Flowers to find and earn to trade in for new dyes and gear exclusive to New Game+.
The update will also add the requested feature of armour loadouts, so you can quickly switch between you favourite combination of armour and charms for whichever situation you find yourself in.
