Hearthstone Is Getting Its First New Class In More Than Six Years

Blizzard has announced the Monk as the next playable class coming to Hearthstone.

Arriving in 2027, Monk will be the first completely new class Blizzard has introduced to its card game in more than six years.

Blizzard describes the class as having a “fluid, adaptable playstyle,” although it hasn’t yet fully revealed its cards, mechanics, or other class-specific details.

The announcement came alongside the reveal of Hearthstone’s next expansion, Reign of the Black Empire, which introduces the ‘Assemble’ keyword.
