Indie Symphony is returning to Victoria with ‘Indie Symphony II, featuring live performances of music from Baldur’s Gate 3, Undertale, Hades, Slay the Spire, Darkest Dungeon, Chants of Senaar, Untitled Goose Game, Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, ABZÛ, and Cult of the Lamb.

The show will also feature Montaigne, who will be singing parts from Baldur’s Gate 3. Composer of Untitled Goose Game, Dan Golding, will also be playing ‘Honk’ live in a special performance. The music of Cult of the Lamb will be a special tribute to composer Narayana Johnson, aka River Boy.

Orchestra Victoria’s CEO, Jacinta Ewers, said:

“We are excited to be bringing Indie Symphony II to Victorian audiences. After the great success of championing indie games in 2023, it’s great to have a brand new set of pieces from well-loved games to share with everyone and to be working with the amazing composers and games developers from around the world.”

There will also be a special appearance from Austin Wintory, who will be on stage talking about his work composing games like ABZÛ and Hades II.

“It is once again my immense pleasure to be partnering with the Orchestra Victoria on an absolutely spectacular lineup of videogame music from across the globe! As with the first Indie Symphony show, this is a setlist the likes of which has never been performed! Many world premieres of hit games from the last several years, including I’m grateful to say some work of my own. I hope the audience in Melbourne realises how singularly lucky they are! NO ONE is putting on shows quite like this anywhere on Earth!

ABC Classic radio host Meena Shamaly will host the evening, which will take place at Hamer Hall on both Thursday, 3 July, and Friday, 4 July, at 8:00 PM.
