It’s not every day that a game that released over ten years ago gets brand new content. Especially one that hasn’t been touched in years. But that’s exactly what’s happened to Left 4 Dead 2 which has launched a brand new update today.
‘The Last Stand’ was made by 30 community members who were given the blessing of Valve. It features 20 new survival arenas, 4 scavenge arenas and a campaign set on The Lighthouse survival map. New melee weapons, animations, dialogue and other small tweaks and updates have also been introduced. There’s even a heap of new achievements. Find all the details in the patch notes HERE.
If that’s not enough to interest you, Left 4 Dead 2 is free-to-play for the weekend. There’s also a sale and you can pick up the game for $2.90 until September 29th.
There’s no word on if this update will come to the Xbox 360 version of the game.
