Get over here!
New Line Cinema and Warner Bros Pictures have released the first trailer for Mortal Kombat. The film is based on the long-running video game franchise which recently released the most popular entry, Mortal Kombat 11.
Check out the trailer below. Just beware, it is not for kids.
The film stars Lewis Tan as MMA fighter Cole Young, a new character created for the movie. Unfortunately for Cole, he has Sub-Zero hot on his tail and he isn’t sure why, so he seeks out Sonya Blade to get help and finds himself at the temple of Lord Raiden.
In the trailer, you can also spot characters like Kano, Raiden, Mileena, Goro, Liu Kang and more. One missing character, that seems to have upset some fans online is Johnny Cage. Producer Todd Garner has stated on Twitter today that Cage isn’t in the film, and in fact, he’s such a big character that he deserves his own movie.
He deserves his own movie!
