You may see friends from America or Europe using a new Nintendo app and sharing details on social media; however, there’s some sad news for Aussies.

Nintendo has released a Nintendo Store smartphone app in many places around the world, but unfortunately, it’s not available in Australia for now. I do hope it makes its way over here very soon.

Reading about the app on The Verge, they point out that the app was actually released in Japan under the name ‘My Nintendo’ five years ago, so it has been a relatively slow rollout of the app.

The app does exactly what you’d expect, and it also lets me do the simple things I want sometimes without turning on my Nintendo Switch 2 or even heading to the online eStore. Those who are searching for and purchasing games, seeing what’s on sale, and also searching and purchasing physical games and hardware directly from the Nintendo Store.

Let’s hope this app makes its way to Australia sooner rather than later, to have a bit more convenience in our pockets.
