2022 is yet again another year without regular scheduled E3 showcases. Instead, it will be a combination of events included in the Summer Game Fest collection from Geoff Keighley or simply publishers choosing to join the fun in showing off and announcing things in the coming weeks. I’ve also got a few events in this list that aren’t gaming-focused, but will (presumably) contain information on a video game.
We’ll keep this page updated with all of the upcoming events from late May through to August and Gamescom, with the times you can watch streams and where they’re taking place. Please let me know in the comment section if I’m missing something.
May:
June
July
August

[UPDATE: here’s all the news from the 505 Games Showcase]
The publisher has never held a showcase before, so it’ll be interesting to see what they have to show here as they primarily work on publishing ports, PC versions of console games and retail releases.

Star Wars Celebration Anaheim 2022
All things Star Wars will be celebrated in the last weekend of May, and there will presumably be some news about the upcoming Star Wars: Jedi game and maybe others? There will be a live stream of the event, but as of writing, there’s no link, though it’s expected to appear on the official Star Wars Youtube channel.

Sega’s June Announcement
Sega has an event planned, but we don’t really know what it’s going to be about. All the rumours and speculation have most believing it will be the reveal of A Dreamcast Mini, which would make sense, but we’ll find out soon enough.

Summer Game Fest
[Updated: All the information and trailers from this year’s Summer Game Fest can be found here.]
This year Geoff Keighly is taking to the stage in a show that features a live audience. With this, I have much higher hopes for what I expect from this show and knowing Geoff, and I’m expecting him to show up as he attempts to wrangle up the same hype he knows some of us to love to participate in around E3 each year.

Day Of The Devs
Day of the Devs is back for its 10th Anniversary this year. I’d expect some fun indie games here, and it’ll be coming right after a presumably AAA heavy Summer Game Fest.

Devolver Marketing Countdown to Marketing 2022
It’s another year and another Devolver Digital “conference.” These have grown to a point I’m genuinely interested in where the story will go and maybe getting some cool game announcements.

Netflix Geeked Week: Gaming
Netflix is back with their Geeked Week once again, and this year, there should be a mix of gaming property-related announcements and some games. Netflix is moving into publishing and producing their games now, so this would be a great place to reveal some of those, presumably based upon their biggest and most popular IP.

And if the first day isn’t enough for you, they’ll be back in a moment on this list.

Taking place exactly 24 hours after The Future Games Show, they’re being promoted together with PC Gaming Show being the “sister event.” All I know is it’s not an E3/June gaming showcase period without a PC Gaming Show.

Gamescom: Opening Night Live
Once again, Geoff Keighly is hosting Gamescom ONL. It’ll be the cap-off for the Summer/Winter events of gaming celebrations and live streams. We don’t have a time for Gamescom: Opening Night Live, but it should be happening on either the 25th or 26th of August.
Hopefully, These As Well
Nintendo is yet to announce anything for around this period. Neither have those who had showcases last year like Ubisoft and even Square Enix, though that last one might be unlikely at the moment. EA said they’re not doing anything this year.
