The spin-off action game for Persona 5 was released in Japan this week and with decent sales numbers to kick the game off.

According to Push Square, Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers has sold 116,000 units on the PS4 and a decent 46,000 on the Switch. And as their article points out the PS4 majority of sales makes sense since that’s where the original game released, as well as the enhanced Person 5 Royal. However, I can’t help but wonder if these sales affect any chance of the Persona 5 Switch port fans are after.

I’ve played the Persons 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers demo and although it’s an example of how nice Persona 5 would be to have in your hands, and the game certainly would look great on the console – it’s still a lot of work to port over, of course. Maybe The Phantom Strikers needs to sell a lot better on Switch to achieve that port and I don’t think the current Japanese sales numbers would represent a massive push for a Switch port at nearly 40% of the sales. Obviously, if you switched the numbers a Switch port would be an obvious need I would think.

Please let us know what you think in the comments below. Do these numbers say anything about Persona 5 coming to Switch?
