Details have been swirling around recently about Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the sequel to 2019’s Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order, being developed by Respawn Entertainment. Most notably was the announcement overnight of Star Wars Jedi: Battle Scars, a tie-in novel set between the two video games, written by Sam Maggs. We don’t have many details about the book, not even a cover, other than the synopsis below.

“Cal Kestis leads the Mantis crew on an adventure set between Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and the highly anticipated Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.”
Author Sam Maggs has writing credits across both videogames (including Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, Anthem) and novels (The Fangirl’s guides, DC Brave and Bold, Marvel Fearless and Fantastic) but most interesting to me is that she has not been listed as a writer on the game as yet.
Star Wars Jedi: Battle Scars is due out on March 7 2023. Considering that we do not yet have a date set for the second Jedi game from Respawn and the novel is set before the events of the Jedi Survivor, it is safe to say that this is likely to be released before the game.
