“The Little Mermaid” Streams on Disney+ September 6

Disney’s live-action reimagining of The Little Mermaid arrives on Disney+ on September 6.

The release includes bonus content, notably Javier Bardem performing the song “Impossible Child.” It’s also notable as the first Disney+ film releasing on VOD/streaming without a physical version planned, with Disney no longer distributing DVD/Blu-ray in Australia or New Zealand.

The Little Mermaid grossed over $560,000,000 worldwide in cinemas, including $15,500,000 in Australia. The film received mixed reviews from critics and currently holds a 59 Metascore on Metacritic.
