Rounding out yesterday’s State of Play announcements was Valkyrie Elysium, a new Action RPG set in the Valkryie Profile series, which has not had a console release since 2009. This will be another console exclusive to PS4 & PS5 but is also set for a PC release. 

The game is set to incorporate classic Valkyrie series gameplay, including Einherjar – recruitable warriors who will join the hero and fight at her side when summoned. 

The gameplay is also described to be a fast-paced combat system that combines strategy and action and promises a unique combo system that will have you thinking and reacting quickly. Square Enix also calls out that the game will have finishing moves and a combination of weapons and magical abilities to overcome tough challenges.
