The Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2024 Broadcast was an excellent way for Xbox to connect with their Japanese fans and players, and hopefully, that’s what the show achieved. You can tell it was aimed at Japan and not just another video game showcase that so happens to line up with the Tokyo Game Show. There are a few new games and nuggets of information here, but the show was mostly about new games coming to Japan or games coming to Game Pass that could be big in Japan.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater
A brand new trailer for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater kicked off the show.
Overwatch 2
Overwatch 2 is getting a new event and crossover with My Hero Academi on October 17.
Age of Mythology Retold
The Immortal Pillars expansion has been announced.
Game Pass
StarCraft: Remastered & StarCraft II: Capmapign Collection are coming to PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate on November 5 2024.
Indiana Jones & The Great Circle
Some new footage here (I think?), but otherwise just reminding everyone that the game is out on December 8.
Tanuki: Pon’s Summer
This little guy has got some packages to deliver in this BMX/mailman/racoon game that is coming to Xbox and PC.
Threads of Time
I thought this was a remake of an old RPG that I didn’t recognise, but it’s a brand-new game titled Threads of Time, and Humble Games is publishing it. It looks gorgeous.
We Love Katamari Reroll+ Royal Reverie
This was released on Nintendo Switch late last year, and now it’s coming to Xbox and PC. It’s even available on Xbox Game Pass, and it’s out today.
FragPunk
The developers of FragPunk discuss the card system in the game and how it makes this shooter a lot more random and fun.
A closed beta is happening on October 10.
Metaphor ReFantazio
Here’s a short new trailer that covers the game’s ‘prologue’ out now. The progress of that will continue into the full game when it releases on October 11.
Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land
This is the first Atelier game that will be released on Xbox, and this was a deep dive into the systems of the game.
Atelier Yumia will be released on March 21 2025.
Asurajang
This melee isomteric battle royale looks preety intense, and at least a different take on the genre, so it’s exciting to see somethign a bit unique.
Bleach: Rebirth of Souls
This Bleach game is arriving in early 2025.
Synduality Echo of Ada
This mech game is arriving on January 24.
Fallout 76
Cats and dogs are coming to Fallout 76 sometime by the end of this year.
Suikoden 1 & 2 HD Remaster
The remasters of both games are arriving on March 6 2025.
All You Need Is Help
Crafty little puzzle game with some wholesome vibes and a lovely little tune to introduce the game.
