‘The Deuce’ Returns in September With First Key-Art Missing Franco

HBO, via its Twitter account, has released the first promotional piece for The Deuce season two and the air date.

The Deuce will return to HBO September 9, at 9 PM. For Australian audiences, this will probably put it on Showtime on Foxtel at around that 11 AM Monday slot that Westworld, Game of Thrones and currently Sharp Objects is sitting in.

What’s interesting about the first promotional piece is that it features Maggie Gyllenhaal with co-star, producer and director of several episodes from the first season, James Franco, nowhere to be seen.

Last year Franco was accused of several sexual misconducts which he denied. HBO in February did say Franco would be returning for the second season in some fashion and found no reason to remove him from the production of The Deuce.
