Early this morning Respawn Entertainment released the Season 5 trailer for Apex Legends. It’s a great action-filled animated short that shows the newly revealed character Loba Andrade making her move against the simulacrum Revant, who killed her parents some years prior (as seen in the Season 4 trailer)

There are many cool things in this trailer to talk about and put the spotlight on. Animation wise – I swear these trailers keep getting better and better, there’s so much life to Loba and she’s quickly becoming my new favourite in the game after only being introduced last week.
Titanfall fans should notice the stalkers that attack Loba when she attempts to shoot Revenants real mind in the facility below Skull Town. Is this a sign that the robots will be making their way into the games for Season 5 as a PvE element of the game? And talking about Skull Town, yep, it does look like it just went down with the facility. King’s Canyon map is about to get a huge shakeup.
We don’t know the exact abilities of Loba and how they’ll work in-game yet but it seems very obvious it’ll involve the wrist bracelet that allows her to teleport and also her staff. In last weeks introduction video Loba was seen only using the staff to fight. However, in the latest trailer, you’ll notice it’s what pulls the R-301 towards her that a Stalker is attempting to grab. So will Loba’s abilities involve being able to both teleport herself and teleports objects toward herself?
We’ll find out very soon as Apex Legends Season 5 launches on May 12th.
