Massive ‘Pokemon Go’ Community Weekend Brings Back All Of 2018’s Pokemon
by Dylan Blight
A massive community weekend is ahead of us, trainers as Pokemon Go will be bringing back all the years prior Community Day Pokemon and their special moves as well the usual three-hour special period with bonuses.
The event will kick-off on Saturday, December 1st at 8 AM and run until 6 PM AEDT Monday, December 3rd.
During this time you will see increased appearances of Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Pikachu, Eevee, Cyndaquil, Larvitar, Dratini, Chikorita, Mareep and Beldum.
All of these Pokemon will have the ability to learn their special Community Day exclusive moves which were previously available throughout the year.
They are:
-
Venusaur with Frenzy Plant
-
Charizard with Blast Burn
-
Blastoise with Hydro Cannon
-
Pikachu with Surf
-
Eevee (as well as all its evolutions) with Last Resort
-
Typhlosion with Blast Burn
-
Tyranitar with Smack Down
-
Dragonite with Draco Meteor
-
Meganium with Frenzy Plant
-
Ampharos with Dragon Pulse
-
Metacross with Meteor Mash
Remember, for any Pokemon’s evolution, like Blastoise for example, you must evolve the Squirtle into a Blastoise within the three-hour period for it to learn the exclusive move.
The Community Day special period will be on Sunday, December 2cnd from 2 PM till 5 PM AEDT.
During the three-hour period on Sunday, you will get the following bonuses.
-
X2 Catch XP.
-
X2 Catch Stardust
-
Half-Egg Catch Distance
-
3-Hour Lures
It is not confirmed if shinys will be occurring more regularly over the entire weekend, or just the three-hour period on Sunday — or at all. But Niantic is usually quiet about this sort of thing and it’s safer to guess their increased rate will be on Sunday only.
