In a shocking turn of events, the Patricia Arquette show Medium got a video game announcement during Inside Xbox. I joke. But cmon, we all thought it – how good is that show?
In The Medium from developer Bloober Team, you’ll play as Marianne who’s struggling with the constant pull to the spirit realm. You’ll make your way to an abandoned hotel located in Krakow, Poland early in the game and there discover some shocking truths.

Marianne will be able to discover the secrets to the hotel as her medium powers let her see between two worlds. Our human one and the spirit realm.
Famed Silent Hill composer Akira Yamaoka is doing the music for The Medium which is super exciting for horror and music fans.
In the interview with Jacek Zieba from Bloober Team later in the Inside Xbox show, there were mentions of exploring Poland’s communist past as this game is set in the early ’80s, shortly after the regime ended.
They also spoke about how the next-gen tech allows them to truly bring a cinematic justice to the game. Switching between the two realms with no loads times with the example given and depending on how big the world is this is a good example to give. If only we could have seen it on video.
