Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is looking more and more like a brand new game and anything but the simple remake of CTR it was announced as a year ago.

Grand Prix events will be coming to Nitro-Fueled post-launch as seasonal events that’ll allow you to unlock new costumes and other in-game items, as well as new racers themselves.

The first of these Grand Prix’s will kick off on July 4th and will add a new track called ‘Twilight Tour’ and let you unlock Tawna the bandicoot (who was kidnapped by Cortex in the original Crash Bandicoot) by levelling up their Nitro Gauge.

Your Nitro Gauge sounds like it’ll level up kinda like a seasonal pass in games like Fortnite or Apex Legends. You’ll earn Nitro Points by completing certain challenges and races and then unlock skins and other items for your karts, with the ultimate prize being Tawna, a brand new racer.
