When do we want The Last of Us: Part II’s release date? Now. When do we get it? Now.
If you’re not aware, Ashley Johnson plays Ellie in The Last of Us games among other things, of course, one of which is her part in the internet phenomenon that is Critical Role. Well, during an episode of ‘Between The Sheets‘, an interview show on the Critical Role Youtube channel, Johnson herself is asked about the upcoming Last of Us: Part 2 by interviewer Brian W. Foster. It’s a great interview in general if you’re a fan of Johnson, but her response to the release date question is tantalising to say the least.
Foster: “Let’s touch on The Last of Us: Part 2”
Johnson: “Okay.”
Foster: “Only because, well, you’re in the weed there right now.”
Johnson: “I’m in the weeds.”
Foster: “When’s that come out by the way?”
Johnson: “Umm”
Foster: “I keep reading on your Instagram–“
Johnson: “I think it’s coming out Fe–”
Foster then continues the interview as he seemingly cuts of Johnson from fully committing to saying what sounds very convincingly like February.
You can double check all this for yourself in the video below at about 1:07:15
