Distributor of some of the best physical film releases in Australia, Umbrella Entertainment, has announced they’re dropping ‘entertainment.’ And I mean that in a literal way, not a figurative one; they’re just going to be known as Umbrella from now on.

On their Instagram post sharing the news, Umbrella said that this isn’t just a simple log and name update:

“As we expand our horizons, we remain focused on our dedication to Australian and New Zealand cinema, to the filmmakers whose stories we champion, and to the fans who share our passion.”

Personally, I love the updated logo and name, as I’ve always just referred to them as Umbrella. The matching tone of their website now has a grunge feel, similar to that of many of the films they publish, with a hint of the Australian and New Zealand edge.
