At the end of a nearly four-hour event, fans got what they’d been most excited to see tuning into DC FanDome 2021 with the brand new trailer for The Batman.

The film is set in Batman’s second year on Gotham streets, which is to say it’s not quite an origin story for Batman while still being placed in his earlier years. A big swing back in the opposite direction after Ben Afflecks older Batman.
The trailer itself doesn’t spoil too much regarding how all the pieces of the puzzle come together. The Riddler is a serial killer, The Penguin thinks he can outrace Batman, Alfred is worried about Bruce’s health, and Batman himself is looking a little unhinged, even if there’s a sparkle in his eye as he meets Catwoman for the first time.
Robert Pattinson stars as Bruce Wayne alongside Zoe Kravitz as Selina Kyle, Paul Dano as The Riddler, Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth and Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon.
