Imprint Films has announced a Limited-Edition release of David Lynch’s 1984 adaptation of Dune.

Limited to 1500 copies, this new 4K Ultra HD release of Dune will be a big one for collectors of Lynch and Dune films alike. Even if you have a copy of Dune already, this is a special release, thanks to its packaging in particular.

The film and its three bonus discs come in a ‘Sandbox’ packaging, which features a tempered glass liquid sand panel with sand behind it, making it look like the film itself is trapped behind the sands of Arrakis.

Inside this heavy box, which measures 23 x 32 cm and weighs 1.5kg, come these extras as well:

  • a full-colour matte laminated 27″ x 40″ folded print of the original poster;
  • a reprint of the original official 1984 three-issue comic series;
  • a hardcover booklet featuring 60 pages of photographs and original production material;
  • a 3D Lenticular Hardcase housing all four discs;
  • six art cards;
  • a custom-made transparent PVC display case with anti-scratch film lamination
