Nintendo Australia has announced that the Splatoon 3 AU/NZ 2023 Championship will take place at PAX Australia in October. At the same time, the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: AU/NZ 2023 Open will also hold its final during PAX.

Starting this month, Nintendo Australia is holding a series of qualifiers for the Splatoon 3: AU/NZ Championship, with the finals being held on Sunday, 8th of October, at PAX Australia.

The two qualifiers for the event will be held on Saturday, 19th August and Sunday, 28th August, from 11 AM AEST. Teams will battle it out on both Turf War and Anarchy Battle modes. 

  • The top team across each qualifier (8 players total) will be awarded 1,000 My Nintendo Gold Points.

  • Five randomly selected teams (20 players total) will be awarded 1,000 My Nintendo Gold Points.

  • All participants will also receive 50 Platinum Points per day just for playing. 

Here’s how you can register for the Splatoon 3: AU/NZ Championship.

To register for the Splatoon 3: AU/NZ Championship, please follow the steps below:

  1. Create a FACEIT account using the same email address as your Nintendo Account.

  2. Navigate to Splatoon 3 Game Dashboard: https://esl.gg/splatoon3faceit

  3. Select ‘Register Splatoon 3’.

  4. Complete the game registration.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

The open championship for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will be taking place on 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 9th, 10th and 11th of September. 

As with Splatoon 3, you can also earn My Nintendo Gold Points for playing.

  • The top two players across each qualifier (12 players total) will be awarded 1,000 My Nintendo Gold Points. Twenty randomly selected players will be awarded 1,000 My Nintendo Gold Points.

  • All participants will also receive 50 Platinum Points per day just for playing.
